In the artist's words
This mermaid is bored. Tell her a joke that she has not heard.
If you have questions about the piece, feel free to message — happy to talk about it.
Robot human hybrid description
A mermaid perched on dark rocks, chin in her hands, teal tail curled behind her — and she looks absolutely done with it all.
Her wild copper-red hair dominates the composition, spilling outward against a cool, hazy blue-grey background. The teal of her tail is the only bright saturated note, playing against the murky deep tones of the rocks and water below. Scattered flecks of yellow-green across the lower third add a raw, almost chaotic energy that keeps the eye moving.
The expression is the whole point: not sad, not angry — just deeply, cosmically unimpressed. It's a specific mood, and it reads immediately.
This is for people who want mythological subject matter without the usual romanticism. It fits spaces that lean dark, weird, or eclectic — a reading nook, a moody bathroom, a bedroom wall that earns a second look. Also a very solid gift for anyone who identifies more with the bored siren than the enchanted sailor.
