Little Dog | 12X12 on Board
In the artist's words
This is actually a very close up pet portrait of the derpiest dog in existence.
If you have questions about the piece, feel free to message — happy to talk about it.
Robot human hybrid description
The face fills the entire frame — oversized teal eyes pointing in completely different directions, a gaping mouth with a pink tongue lolling out, and a chaotic spray of yellow-green fur exploding off the top of the head.
The palette is loud on purpose: electric yellow-green, deep teal, olive, warm brown, and flashes of purple, all laid down in thick, directional strokes that give the face a restless, barely-contained energy. The nose is a faceted green gem shape, which somehow only makes this dog more believable.
This is for the person who shares their home — and probably their couch — with a dog of genuinely questionable intelligence and maximum personality. It reads immediately as funny, but the brushwork is confident and the color relationships are deliberate. It would hold its own on a gallery wall while also being a completely unhinged thing to hang in a living room, which is the whole point.
