In the artist's words

A ghostly woodpecker, doing woodpecker stuff.

If you have questions about the piece, feel free to message — happy to talk about it.

Robot human hybrid description

A red-crested woodpecker perches mid-work on a splintered board, one glowing blue eye catching the light. Fragments of wood panels drift through the frame as if caught mid-explosion — or mid-haunting.

The palette is teal and storm-grey in the background, burnt red and deep black on the bird itself, with a white luminous trail rising from its crest. The brushwork is loose and energetic but deliberate — there's real weight to the wings and real strangeness to the bird's mechanical eye.

This one works for people who like wildlife art with an edge, or fantasy illustration that isn't swords and dragons. The mood sits somewhere between natural history and ghost story. Good for a reading nook, a studio wall, or anywhere you want something that earns a second look.

These gallery wrapped canvases have features:

  • Archival-grade poly-cotton mix canvas
  • pH neutral and acid-free — won't yellow over time
  • Bright white surface with a semi-glossy sheen
  • Giclee inkjet printing, color calibrated for accuracy
  • Colors rated fade-resistant for 100+ years
  • Hand-stretched on solid wood stretcher bars
  • Solid wood frame won't warp or bow over time
