Tonight We Ride | 24X24 Board
In the artist's words
This is an old west bounty hunter, pictured just after nabbing his mark. His warhorse, a My Little Pony with a mysterious past, is affectionate and loyal, but do not take its kindness for weakness
If you have questions about the piece, feel free to message — happy to talk about it.
Robot human hybrid description
A pink My Little Pony with blue-purple hair dominates the foreground — large, calm, and unnerving. A heart mark sits on its flank. Its amber eye holds something that isn't innocence.
Behind it, a lean bounty hunter in a wide-brimmed hat rests a long rifle across his shoulder and lights a cigarette. His patterned shirt is smoke-stained. He's done for the day. At the pony's side, a bearded, disheveled figure sits slumped on the ground — wrists bound, going nowhere.
The background is a washed-out wasteland: dust, smoke, and the silhouettes of distant vehicles under a pale blue sky. The palette is all warm browns and grays cut through by that jarring burst of hot pink.
This is the piece for someone who grew up with both Saturday morning cartoons and Spaghetti Westerns and never fully resolved that. It reads immediately as funny, then you look at the pony again.
Strong fit for a game room, studio, or any wall that can handle something genuinely strange.
